About Hazard List

Hazard List is a small, independent project that makes official product safety notices easier to find. You can look up a product by brand, barcode, Amazon code or the marketplace it was sold on, and see every EU, U.S. and UK notice that names it on one page.

Three public bodies publish most of these notices. In the European Union, national market surveillance authorities report dangerous non-food products to Safety Gate, the rapid alert system run by the European Commission, which publishes them every week. In the United States, the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) publishes product recalls. In the United Kingdom, which no longer reports to Safety Gate, the Office for Product Safety and Standards (OPSS) publishes product safety reports and recalls on GOV.UK. Each has its own website and search, and none links to the others. We bring them together, keep the full history (EU alerts since 2005, U.S. recalls going back decades, UK notices since 2022) and add pages by brand, marketplace, category, hazard and country of origin.

What we are not

Where the data comes from

EU alerts come from the European Commission's public Safety Gate weekly reports; pages in German, French, Spanish, Italian, Dutch, Polish and Portuguese use the Commission's own official translation of each alert. U.S. recalls come from the CPSC's public recall database. UK notices come from GOV.UK and contain public sector information licensed under the Open Government Licence v3.0. Read exactly how the data is collected, matched and counted.

The site currently holds 61,139 notices: 47,307 EU alerts, 10,053 U.S. recalls and 3,779 UK notices. The newest EU alert in our data is from Oct 16, 2026, the newest U.S. recall from Oct 15, 2026, the newest UK notice from Oct 13, 2026.

Corrections and questions

If you spot a mistake — for example an alert listed under the wrong brand — please tell us. We can fix how data is matched or displayed, but we cannot change official notices; those corrections have to go to the authority that published them.
