Barcode & Amazon code check
Type the barcode printed on the box (EAN-13 or UPC-12), or the 10-character Amazon product code (ASIN, starts with “B0”, shown on the product page under “Product information”). We check it against 61,139 EU and U.S. recall and alert records.
How this check works
EU Safety Gate alerts often list the product barcode and, for products sold online, the marketplace listing (such as an Amazon ASIN). U.S. CPSC recalls sometimes list UPC codes; UK OPSS notices often list the barcode and the Amazon ASIN. We normalise leading zeros so a 12-digit UPC and the same code written as a 13-digit EAN match.
Only part of the alerts include a barcode, so a “no match” result means only that no notice we hold lists that exact code.
