The plastic buckle, which is used for securing the ribbons, contains 0,28% by weight deka-BDE. Decabromodiphenyl ether has been found to pose serious risks to human health, wildlife, and the environment.The product does not comply with the requirements of the Directive 2011/65/EU on the restriction of the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment (RoHS 2).
