The product poses a chemical risk because it contains 30% by weight of bis (2-ethylhexyl) phthalate (DEHP) and the inlet (mouthpiece) contains 32% by weight of di-“isononyl” phthalate (DINP). According to the Chemical Restrictions Directive 76/769/EEC, certain phthalates in toys are prohibited.
