Hazard

Poundstretcher is recalling all batches of the DrainX Power Liquid Unblocker 1000 ml as it doesn’t have a child-resistant closure and tactile warning device on the bottle. These additional safety measures are required as the liquid causes serious severe skin burns and eye damage. This product does not comply with the Consumer Protection Act 1987 or meet the requirements of the Classification, Labelling and Packaging of Chemicals Regulation (CLP) 2015.

Remedy

The product has been recalled from end users. Consumers in possession of the product should return it to a Poundstretcher store for a full refund (with or without a receipt).

Product description

A drain cleaner supplied in an orange plastic bottle with a black cap. The product label includes its name “DrainX” and the words Power Liquid Unblocker” with an image of a drain “U” bend clearing of a blockage.
