Hazard

The product presents a high chemical risk as the backpack contains an excess concentration of phthalates. A young child playing with the toy is exposed to the phthalates which can potentially harm a child’s health via either cancer or non-cancer effects. The product does not meet the requirements of the Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation & restriction of Chemicals (REACH) Enforcement Regulations 2008.

Remedy

The product has been withdrawn from the market and the listing has been removed by the online marketplace (Amazon).
