UK OPSSSerious riskSuffocationDec 22, 2022

Hazard

Products in scope of the corrective action have been identified as presenting a serious risk of asphyxiation due to the potential for carbon monoxide leaks. An incorrect part may have been fitted to the flue pipe at the rear of these appliances, which could hamper ventilation. It is possible for extremely dangerous levels of carbon monoxide to be produced, which can pose a serious risk to health, and death. The product does not meet the requirements of the Gas Appliances (Enforcement) and Miscellaneous Amendments Regulations 2018.

Remedy

Engineers will need to inspect the appliance and replace affected parts if necessary before use of the oven can commence. Consumers must not use the oven until this inspection has taken place.
