Hazard

The product presents a serious risk of electric shock and fire as the conductor and cross-sectional area of the product’s wiring is insufficient which could cause the overheating of the wires and a fire under fault conditions. The product’s fuse and plug were also noncompliant. The product does not meet the requirements of the Electrical Equipment (Safety) Regulations 2016.

Remedy

The import has been rejected at the border. The listing has been removed by the online marketplace (Amazon).
