Hazard

The product presents a high risk of electric shock as the screws that hold the switch in place had sharp points that could damage the wiring behind. The screws could then become live if they touched the live conductors. The earthing terminal had not been locked against accidental loosening. The instructions were considered to be inadequate as they did not contain sufficient information to ensure the correct and safe use of the equipment. Some of the required documentation and markings were not present. The product does not meet the requirements of the Electrical Equipment (Safety) Regulations 2016.

Remedy

Update: 11th January 2024: The product has been recalled from end users by Vevor. For further information, access the Vevor webpage at: https://uk.vevor.com/pages/Product-Recall-Statement . The import has been rejected at the border.
