Hazard

The product presents a serious risk of fire as the earthing arrangements are insufficient, with an incorrect fuse fitted to it for the supply cord’s cross-sectional area. The wiring could overheat and ignite. The product also required improvement to marking, labelling and documentation. The product does not meet the requirements of the Electrical Equipment (Safety) Regulations 2016.

Remedy

The import has been rejected at the border. The listing has been removed by the online marketplace (Amazon).
