Hazard

The product presents a high risk of electric shock as the earthing arrangements are insufficient, which can allow accessible metal parts of the product to become live. If the consumer were to touch accessible metal parts, they would receive an electric shock. The power supply cord was also inadequately fixed, meaning that it is possible for live wiring to detach. The product also required improvement to marking, labelling and documentation. The product does not meet the requirements of the Electrical Equipment (Safety) Regulations 2016.

Remedy

The import has been rejected at the border.
