Hazard

The product presents a serious risk of cuts as no chain brake was found to be present on the chainsaw to prevent kickback, and the guide bar cover does not cover the full length of the guide bar. The product presents a risk of electric shock, fire and explosion as the charger was of poor quality, with poor quality soldering with some wires soldered directly onto the printed circuit board with no secondary form of fixing. The transformer also did not meet the requirements for creepage and clearance and the battery failed the capacity verification test. The product also requires improvements to marking, labelling and documentation. The product does not meet the requirements of the Supply of Machinery (Safety) Regulations 2008 or the Plugs & Sockets (Safety) Regulations 1994.

Remedy

The import has been destroyed at the border. Removal of the listing by the online marketplace (eBay).
