Hazard

The product presents a risk of fire and electric shock as the plug, cable and fuse are counterfeit. There was no approval marking or ballast present in the fuse and the transformer was of poor build quality as it did not meet the meet the creepage and clearance requirements. Some of the required documentation and markings were not present. The product does not meet the requirements of the Supply of Machinery (Safety) Regulations 2008 or the Plugs & Sockets (Safety) Regulations 1994.

Remedy

The import has been rejected at the border and destroyed.
