Hazard

The product presents a serious risk of electric shock because it is supplied with a clover-leaf shaped plug, which does not provide adequate protection against live parts. The product contains no fuse, and the pins are incorrectly spaced and likely to damage household sockets over time. If a consumer touches the live parts, they may receive an electric shock. The product does not meet the requirements of the Electrical Equipment (Safety) Regulations 2016 or the Plugs and Sockets etc. (Safety) Regulations 1994.

Remedy

The import has been rejected at the border and destroyed.
