Hazard

This product presents a serious risk of electric shock because it was supplied with inadequate insulation. Over time the insulation poses the risk of breaking down, subsequently allowing live wires to touch the accessible live parts. The consumer may not realise the product is live once connected to a power source and therefore is at risk of receiving an electric shock. The product does not meet the regulations of the Electrical Equipment (Safety) Regulations 2016.

Remedy

The import has been rejected at the border and destroyed.
