Hazard

The product presents a serious chemical risk as the snap bands have an excessive concentration of phthalates. Phthalates may harm the health of children, possibly causing damage to the reproductive system. The product also presents risk of suffocation, as the plastic bag packaging supplied with the product does not meet the minimum requirement for the thickness for packaging. The balloons supplied with the product did not possess the required safety warnings. The product does not meet the requirements of the REACH Regulations 2008 and the Toys (Safety) Regulations 2011.

Remedy

The import has been rejected at the border and destroyed.
