Hazard

The product presents a serious risk of fire because it has insufficient cord anchorage, which in turn causes strain on the terminals of the product when in use. This could cause the termination to fail and overheat, causing a fire. Additionally, the product is powered using a cord that is inappropriate for outdoor use, and the plug dimensions do not meet the requirements of the relevant standard. Improvements are also required to marking, labelling and documentation. The product does not meet the requirements of the Electrical Equipment (Safety) Regulations 2016 or the Plugs & Sockets etc. (Safety) Regulations 1994.

Remedy

The import has been rejected at the border.
