Hazard

The product presents a serious risk of fire because the fuse within the plug does not contain any granular filler. The fuse endcaps are also insecurely fixed, and the fuse is the wrong length. In the event of an electrical surge or fault, the plug may overheat and ignite, causing a fire. The product does not meet the requirements of the Electrical Equipment (Safety) Regulations 2016 or the Plugs & Sockets etc. (Safety) Regulations 1994.

Remedy

The import has been rejected at the border. The listing has been removed by the online marketplace (Amazon).
