Hazard

The product presents a serious risk of fire or electric shock as the mains cable can deteriorate over time, exposing live parts. If a user touches the product, they may receive an electric shock. The live parts could also emit sparks, potentially leading to fires. The product does not meet the requirements of the Electrical Equipment (Safety) Regulations 2016.

Remedy

Modification programme. Consumers in possession of any of the affected blankets should cease use immediately and contact Online Home Shop to request a free replacement controller. Please access The Online Home Shop recall site here: https://www.onlinehomeshop.com/product-safety-recalls for further details and to complete the online replacement form. Discard your existing controller and store the electric blanket away until your free replacement controller arrives.
