Hazard

There is no evidence that the product has been assessed using relevant UK conformity assessment procedures as a valid Declaration of Conformity was not supplied. There is no valid technical documentation for the product, and the machinery is not marked with required information. Improvements are also required for the product instructions. In the absence of evidence to demonstrate the conformity of the product, and as there is a lack of safety warnings on the risks present if a kickback were to occur, it may be possible for the user to receive injuries. The product does not meet the requirements of the Supply of Machinery (Safety) Regulations 2008.

Remedy

The import has been rejected at the border and destroyed.
