Hazard

The product presents a risk of electric shock due to poor quality soldering, including mains potential wires soldered directly to the PCB. The plug face also does not meet the dimensional requirements of BS 1363. Improvements are also required to product labelling and marking. The product does not meet the requirements of the Electrical Equipment (Safety) Regulations 2016 and the Plugs & Sockets (Safety) Regulations 1994.

Remedy

The import has been rejected at the border and destroyed.
