Hazard

The product presents a risk of fire as a defect in a component of the battery pack can cause the battery to enter into thermal runaway while in use. The product does not meet the requirements of the Electrical Equipment (Safety) Regulations 2016.

Remedy

The manufacturer has initiated a replacement programme for battery packs supplied with products manufactured before December 2024. For further information, access the Tefal recall page at the following link: https://recall.tefal.com/en

Handheld vacuum cleaners powered by lithium-ion batteries. Affected units were manufactured before December 2024. A full list of affected batches is included in Annex A of the below PDF.
