Hazard

The product presents a risk of injuries as the fan wheels were not made to specification and may fail over time and repeated use. This could lead to the parts being ejected from the backpack, causing injuries to the user and bystanders. The product does not meet the requirements of the Electrical Equipment (Safety) Regulations 2016.

Remedy

The product has been recalled from end users. Owners should stop using the product immediately and return it to a STIHL-approved dealer. Orange and grey backpack-style leaf blower. Products which have been inspected and/or repaired will have a black dot next to the serial number. In this case, the recall does not apply, and the unit can be used without restrictions. If you are unsure, contact STIHL.
