Squishy Dino and Unicorn Eggs sold by Matalan — choking & microbiological risk

Hazard

The products present a serious microbiological and choking risk as they can burst easily during normal use, releasing small parts and an aqueous solution. This solution was found to contain an excess of aerobic microbials. If the user inhales or handles the solution, they could come into contact with these microbials. This may cause adverse health effects for certain consumers, such as those who are immunocompromised. The products do not meet the requirements of the Toys (Safety) Regulations 2011.

Remedy

The products have been recalled from end users by Matalan. Consumers should stop using the products immediately and return them to Matalan for a full refund. A receipt is not required. For more information please see Recall Notice or contact Matalan via [email protected] .
