Hazard

The product presents a serious risk of fire because the internal and external wiring is not suitable for outdoor use. As a floodlight, it is reasonable that a consumer would use the product outside. Over time, live wires could become exposed, which could lead to the product catching fire. Improvements are also required to product labelling and marking. The product does not meet the requirements of the Electrical Equipment (Safety) Regulations 2016.

Remedy

The import has been rejected at the border and destroyed. The listing has been removed by the online marketplace (Amazon).
