Hazard

The product presents a serious risk of fire because the plug pins do not meet the dimensional requirements of BS 1363. As a result, the plug may not fit securely into a socket, causing damage over time and leading to overheating and a fire. The product does not meet the requirements of the Electrical Equipment (Safety) Regulations 2016 or the Plugs and Sockets etc. (Safety) Regulations 1994.

Remedy

The import has been rejected at the border and destroyed.
