Hazard

The product presents a serious risk of fire because it is supplied with a noncompliant adaptor. The plug pins do not meet the dimensional requirements of BS 1363, and as a result, the plug may not fit securely into a socket, causing damage over time and leading to overheating and a fire. The product does not meet the requirements of the Supply of Machinery (Safety) Regulations 2008 or the Plugs and Sockets etc. (Safety) Regulations 1994.

Remedy

The import has been rejected at the border and destroyed.
