Hazard

The product presents a serious risk of fire because the bike and its components have not been assessed using the relevant UK conformity assessment procedures. The product was not supplied with a valid declaration of conformity and the technical documentation provided cannot be linked to the machinery. Both the bike and the accompanying charger were missing the required labelling, markings, instructions and safety information. The product does not meet the requirements of the Supply of Machinery (Safety) Regulations 2008.

Remedy

The import has been rejected at the border.
